In this project, I explore the intersection of fantasy and reality by placing the heroine of a classic fairytale Alice into the unexpected, urban landscape of New York City. My Alice doesn’t get lost in an enchanted forest, but in the concrete jungle of a metropolis. She still drinks tea, searches for oddities, watches passersby as if they were strange creatures, and tries to stay true to herself in a world that doesn’t always understand her.
